- Black Hills Charitable Giving Program. Focus areas: Thriving communities; Conservation; Future leaders. Organizations within our service territory or serving residents in our service territory need to apply six months prior to your event. Please allow up to 120 days to receive a decision.
- Casey's. We support programs that meet our giving focus areas of Education, Hunger, and Community Servants. Priority consideration will be given to organizations that have not received a donation within Casey’s giving calendar year of May 1 – April 30.
- Community Attraction and Tourism (CAT) program provides grant funds to assist projects that provide recreational, cultural, entertainment and educational attractions. The funds help communities create transformational projects that enhance the vitality of a region and the state overall. Submit a Notice of Intent to Apply (861.19 KB). Upon completion of the Notice of Intent to Apply, IEDA will review the project and provide the application form.
- Dupaco Foundation Nonprofit Grant. The Dupaco Foundation is awarding one-time grants up to $20,000 to support nonprofit organizations whose mission or programs directly further one of the Foundation’s three Community Pillars: Affordable housing and homeownership, upskilling and reskilling, or small business development. Rolling until funds are depleted.
- Dutrac Charitable Giving. Consideration will be given to the financial need of each request, based on: The requesting organization’s sources of support; The donation’s overall impact to the community or communities served; The donation’s overall positive impact on DuTrac’s members; The size or amount of the contribution request; Availability of funds. A minimum of 30 day’s notice is required for consideration.
- Community Development & Facilities Fund brings together IEDA’s Community Facilities and Pocket Parks programs to help Iowa communities strengthen essential public spaces and expand access to high‑quality community amenities. Community Facilities: This annual competitive program assists communities with infrastructure projects such as day care facilities, senior centers, vocational workshops, food pantries and homeless centers. 2026 application window is July 1, 2026 - September 1, 2026. Pocket Parks: This annual competitive program assists communities with developing green spaces intended for recreational use accessible to handicapped individuals. 2026 application windows: March 2, 2026 - May 1, 2026; July 1, 2026 - September 1, 2026.
- The Housing Rehabilitation Fund leverages IEDA’s Upper Story Housing Conversion and Roofing Replacement programs to support communities in expanding and preserving quality housing options within their downtowns and established neighborhoods. Upper Story Rehabilitation Program: Projects must primarily benefit low- and moderate-income persons as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. 2026 application window is July 1, 2026 - September 1, 2026. Roofing Replacement Program: This program is an opportunity to assist communities in providing aid to Low-Moderate Income individual homeowners of Single-Family homes to replace roofing. 2026 application window is March 2, 2026 - May 1, 2026.
- CDBG Water, Sewer, and Stormwater Fund. Funds awarded through this annual competitive program assist cities and counties with projects such as sanitary sewer system improvements, water system improvements, water and wastewater treatment facility projects, storm sewer projects related to sanitary sewer system improvements, and rural water connections and stormwater conveyances to mitigate flood risks. 2026 application windows: March 2, 2026 - May 1, 2026; July 1, 2026 - September 1, 2026.
- The Downtown Revitalization Fund brings together IEDA’s Commercial Facade and Streetscapes programs under a unified strategy to strengthen the economic and social vitality of Iowa’s downtown districts. The Commercial Facades Program assists communities with impactful downtown exterior improvement projects that eliminate slum and blight conditions. The 2026 Commercial Facades grant application cycle will be open from June 3, 2026 - September 1, 2026. The CDBG‑funded Streetscapes Program supports Iowa communities in revitalizing their downtown districts by improving the safety, accessibility, and visual quality of public spaces. 2026 Streetscapes application window will be March 2, 2026 - May 1, 2026.
- DOT/DNR Fund. Roadside beautification of primary system corridors with plant materials. Letters of request are accepted all year and, if selected, are funded in the order in which they are received.
- Good Sports is a national non-profit organization that provides donations of brand-new sports equipment, footwear, and apparel to schools and youth-serving organizations in communities all across the country. Applications will be reviewed, and you will be notified of your status via email within 2-3 weeks after submission.
- Power of Connection Community Grant Program. This innovative economic development program is designed to pair rural communities seeking assistance with IRDC resource teams. Those teams drive both community conversations and solution development for problems or projects. Ultimately, grants of up to $5,000 – funded by ITC Midwest and the IRDC – may be awarded to rural communities for capacity building, strategic planning, studies or assessment. - US Bank Foundation - Community Possible grant program supports organizations and programs that advance the WORK, HOME, PLAY funding priorities, focusing on organizations that have an intentional approach to addressing immediate needs and economic barriers to success. U.S. Bank Foundation accepts applications by invitation only after considering an Letter Of Interest.
