- Choose Iowa Value Added Grants. Projects must increase sales of Iowa agricultural products by increasing production capacity or expanding market access for value-added projects. Due Noon, January 16.
- The RJ McElroy Trust only supports programs, projects or endeavors that help young people. We promise to work with you and be as flexible as we can with the timing of your proposal. If you aren’t ready to submit for one meeting, we can review your grant at the next. Do not hesitate to call or email us with questions about timing. - Iowa Foundation for Parks and Recreation – Mini Grant Program. Founded in 1987, the Foundation has a mission to provide resources to deliver the benefits of parks and recreation to all. Mini Grant opportunity for communities/organizations with population of 10,000 or less. Application available: October 15 – January 31.
- MidwestOne Foundation. We passionately pursue success for our neighbors, and support organizations that create opportunities in the communities we serve through three focus areas: community development & services, arts & culture, and youth & education. Application available: January.
- Minnesota Twins Community Fund's Fields for Kids. The Twins Community Fund's Fields for Kids Program provides financial support to improve baseball and softball facilities for youth in the Upper Midwest and Southwest Florida. The program makes matching grants for renovation projects that will make community ballfields safer, more accessible, and a better home for youth baseball and softball teams to play on. Application available: January.
- National Endowment for the Arts Big Read. The NEA Big Read is a grant of up to $20,000 to help bring communities together around the shared activity of reading and discussing the same book. Intent to Apply: January 15. Full application: January 29.
- Community Catalyst Program. Assists communities with the redevelopment or rehabilitation of buildings to stimulate economic growth or reinvestment in the community. Pre-App: January 29, 2026; Full-App: (by invitation ONLY) April 15, 2026.
- The Keep Iowa Beautiful scholarships will be awarded to seniors who have a record of community service and a desire to continue to support and contribute to the enhancement of Iowa. In 2026, Keep Iowa Beautiful will award three $1,000 scholarships. Due January 31st.
