Keep Iowa Beautiful
Keep Iowa Beautiful is an income tax check-off program which gives Iowans the opportunity to support local communities in their beautifications efforts. These funds are intended to leverage local dollars, support volunteer efforts and local programs and provide long-term community benefits. Projects must have one or more of the following as its primary purpose: litter removal, litter prevention/education/public awareness, beautification, waste management or recycling, illegal dumping abatement or public nuisance abatement. Projects are funded on a non-repayable grant basis and the higher degree of matching contributions, the more likely the project will rate favorably. A project does not need to include matching funds to be considered. Matching contributions can include cash donations from sources other than the Keep Iowa Beautiful fund as well as in-kind contributions and volunteer labor.
