Land Use Mapping

One of many map styles that ECIA staff prepares for member governments is land use maps. These maps include zoning, future land use, annexations and comprehensive plans in the five counties of Delaware, Dubuque, Clinton, Jackson, and Cedar Counties. The following map is an example of a future land use map created for Cedar County, Iowa in October of 2005.

Cedar County’s Future Land Use map was created for the purpose of aiding the county in making future decisions in economic development, infrastructure improvements, possible city boundary expansions, future land use patterns, annexation possibilities, and many other planning factors that could have a large effect on the residents of the county.
